Two level 3 Awards and a level 3 Certificate have been developed for assessors.
Each route has one or more units in common. Unit 1 is a knowledge based and Units 2 & 3 are competence based. All three qualifications will be externally verified by an awarding body .
This qualification is reliant on the candidate working within a centre whereby candidates following their own qualification can be assessed and supported by the learner obtaining the Assessor award/certificate.
The qualification can also be used in organisation wishing to check their quality systems and have a qualified person to check procedures.

The certificate covers both areas of assessment: work based and classroom
